G

The letter “G” is closely connected to the symbolic representation of the Middle Chamber.

Some experts believe that the G is the actual Greek rendering of “geometry”; yet another believe that G is the initial Greek name of the “square”. There is also one another belief saying it might be an emblem of Egyptian snake; others state “gallows shape” which made is up of the square may become altered into the shape of G. Out of all theories G stands for Geometry is the most common one.

Our modern alphabet letter g seems as the most interesting ones which were gone through several variations over the time before settled down into a standard form. Variations were made depending upon whether it’s upper and lower loops are in open state or closed state. Off which the down word loop may be an open curve and it may exists with the tight curled loop. Further its loop may extend vigorously or it may be closed loop. If we look at some ancient script languages the open form of G variation resembled the medieval age representation of z with a descender. At the same time especially in the later cursive variants, this representation was confused with q since the letter sometimes has written with a descender that curls to the left. In such scenarios, the descender of g has written with additional added loop for the distinguishing purposes.

In order to differentiate the letter g from being confused with k, later G was introduced into the Old Latin alphabet as a variance of c. The first inventor of ‹g› is (as per record proofs) freedman Spurius Carvilius Ruga, who was the father of fee-paying school in Romania, around 230 BC.
